Map the separated pieces
Find the overhead horizontal strip, the hanging vertical sections and any lower extensions. Compare each with your current standing height.
Assign a reachable region to one partner while the other prepares support for the higher work. Keep both players aware of the same remaining-paper display, so a cleared lower section is not mistaken for a completed board.
Plan around the paper’s current shape. Earlier cuts can leave a long thin extension or an isolated patch that was not obvious in the original broad piece.
Reach the overhead strip deliberately
Prepare a base and a cutter. Keep the supporting player still while the upper character adjusts its orientation and overlap with the target paper.
If your current position uses a paper surface for support, inspect that surface before removing it. Arrange the next standing position while the useful support still exists.

Finish the vertical pieces as separate targets
After working overhead, inspect each hanging section from top to bottom. A side extension can remain even when the main rectangular area has disappeared.
Rotate when a different cutting edge covers more paper, but steady the support again before cutting. Choose a shape that can reach and cover the target instead of building a complicated tool without a clear use.

Use slow movement for the final narrow region. Large movements that helped clear a broad shutter can miss a small patch or disturb the supporting position.
Keep a working lift while checking the last paper
Do not abandon the overhead arrangement as soon as one large piece disappears. Inspect the top strip and nearby fragments while your characters are still positioned to reach them.
If only low paper remains, prepare a safe lower position before dismantling the support. Clear the remaining paper to finish; climbing high on its own does not complete the board.
